Hotel Hafen can be reached relatively easily by plane, train and car.

Air:

Hamburg’s international airport has direct connections with most main airports in Europe. From the airport there is a direct train (S1) that stops within 5 minutes from the hotel (stop: Landungsbrücken). With both a taxi and the train it will take around 30 minutes to reach the hotel from the airport.

Train:

The main train station of Hamburg is well connected via national and international trains. From the trainstation there is a direct train (S1 or S3) that stops within 5 minutes from the hotel (stop: Landungsbrücken). Alternatively a taxi can be taken from the train station. With both a taxi and the train it will take around 10/15 minutes to reach the hotel from the main train station.

Car:

The hotel is also reachable by car. Directly at the hotel there is a (paid) public underground parking.

What travel documents will participants require to travel to Hamburg?

EU nationals

EU nationals do not require a visa to enter the Federal Republic of Germany.

 

Non-EU nationals

Generally speaking, all other foreigners require a visa for stays in Germany. A visa is not required for visits of up to 90 days in a 180 day period for nationals of those countries for which the European Community has abolished the visa requirement.
