Senri Tanida
President
Tanita Corporation
The former TANITA Corporation was a healthy measuring instrument manufacturer. The healthy meals served at the company cafeteria attracted attention and the recipes were published as a book, which has sold a total of 5.43 million copies in Japan.
Therefore, Mr Tanida opened a cafeteria for the general public using the recipe, and realized it despite the opposition of those around him. In other words, a measuring equipment manufacturer started a restaurant business in a completely different field.
Taking this opportunity, he developed a health service business called “Tanita Health Program” that supports the health promotion of companies and local governments. In short, TANITA Corporation evolved from a measuring instrument manufacturer to a manufacturer that creates health and a comprehensive health company.
